LINGUAMATICS LAUNCHES I2E ONDEMAND, THE NEW CLOUD VERSION OF ITS SUCCESSFUL I2E TEXT MINING PLATFORM
I2E OnDemand provides online access to industry-validated, high performance I2E text mining software for small to medium sized life sciences companies
(19th January 2011, Cambridge, UK) Linguamatics, a leading provider of NLP (Natural Language Processing) based text mining software, today announced the launch of its new "cloud" (online) version of the award winning I2E text mining platform. I2E OnDemand offers smaller companies the advanced, high performance text mining capabilities that big pharma companies have been using for years.
The new product features the powerful NLP based querying capabilities of the enterprise version of I2E. I2E OnDemand is being launched initially for use with Medline because this massive, reputable data resource is the one most accessed for research by the pharmaceutical and biotech industries. I2E OnDemand enables business-critical questions to be answered by extracting relevant facts and relationships from large document collections, in real-time, with relevant context. The online system will be provided with a range of different vocabularies, ontologies and a library of tested "off the shelf" NLP based queries, enabling customers to produce relevant, high quality results from day one.
With I2E OnDemand, all these capabilities become accessible to small to medium sized companies, who may not have the operational infrastructure in place to deploy such a platform in-house. To date, these companies have relied largely on classic search tools which do not apply NLP, severely limiting their ability to extract meaning and insights from the underlying data in a timely fashion. With I2E OnDemand, as with I2E, users are empowered to frame queries and synthesize knowledge in ways previously not possible.
